Pricing

Proofreading: 
         $3.50 per page

Copy Editing: 
         $6.00 per page

(These rates apply to a double-spaced document in 12-point font, with a minimum of 1-inch margins)

Website Proofing: 
          .03 cents per word

Website Copy Editing:
         .05 cents per word

Types of Services

Proofreading: Your document is reviewed for spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and typographical errors.

Copy editing: This service is for those who want their work edited for style and structure, as well as proofed for spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and typographical errors.  This service includes suggestions for word choice, verb tense, sentence and paragraph structure, and sentence clarity.

With both proofreading and copy editing, the document I return to you will have the errors highlighted and the suggested changes immediately following the error.

Websites: You may choose to have your website proofread or copy edited as described above.  In addition, all links will be tested.

To proofread your website I will copy the page into an MS Word document, highlight the errors and put suggested changes in parentheses immediately following the error.  This document will then be emailed to you.
Ordering Procedure

  • All documents submitted must be double-spaced, using a 12-point font, and with a minimum of 1-inch margins.
  • Include in the body of your email:
  1. Your name
  2. Your phone number
  3. Brief description of the document, for example, article, manuscript, research paper, etc.
  4. The required turn-around time
  5. The type of service (proofreading or copy editing) requested
  6. If you want a quote on having a website proofed, provide the URL
  • I will email you a price quote along with an estimated turn-around time.  Note: Please add the email address: info@azproofreader.com to your address book.
  • If you want me to proceed with the work, send me an email indicating so.
  • I will then send you a PayPal invoice for 1/2 of the total amount due.
  • When PayPal has notified me of your payment, I will begin working on your document.
  • Upon completion of the work I will send you a second PayPal invoice for the remaining balance, and on notification by PayPal of receipt of your payment, I will email your document to you with the suggested changes.
